OCDEL has issued additional information, guidance, and the attestation form for the distribution of the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2021 (CRRSA).

Pennsylvania’s Promise for Children is collecting stories from families and Early Childhood Education (ECE) professionals to feature during Month of the Young Child in April.

The funding will be issued beginning April 20, 2021 and will be divided to support child care providers through multiple channels.

CCW reimbursements will be increased to the 40th percentile of the market rate for child care in the provider’s region, up from approximately the 25th percentile where most of Pennsylvania’s child care providers currently sit.

In March, the ELRC Region 5 will kick off Ask the Coaches, a monthly one-hour discussion for child care owners, directors, and teaching staff. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions, network with peers, and learn about resources that support all things Keystone STARS.

To reinforce parents, caregivers, and early learning professionals in their work to create strong partnerships, ELRC Region 5’s quality partner Trying Together created the Family Engagement Toolkit.

OCDEL has issued an announcement to clarify the distinction of and interaction between Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) licensed programs, PDE funded programs, and Department of Human Services (DHS) licensed child care as it relates to program monitoring and or complaint investigation.
