Update Announced for Pennsylvania PD Registry’s Designation System

Pennsylvania’s PD Registry Designation System will be updated starting Monday, September 14 so that a program’s valid-through date reflects the date when its next annual renewal is due.

This means that the valid-through date will move from three years in the future to one year in the future.

What’s Not Changing?

However, other elements of the professional development registry will not change, including:

  • A Keystone STARS designation will remain valid for three years.

  • Programs will continue to maintain their STAR designation as long as they complete annual renewals and meet all other eligibility requirements.

No action is necessary at this time, and programs should continue to follow their current renewal schedule.

Additional improvements to the designation system will be introduced in January and more information will be available when they get closer to implementation. Questions can be directed to registry@pakeys.org
