Pitt’s P.R.I.D.E. Program Releases Survey to Gain Feedback Amid 10th Anniversary

The University of Pittsburgh’s Positive Racial Identity Development in Early Education (P.R.I.D.E.) program is asking that those who engage with the program, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, take part in a survey about its services.

P.R.I.D.E., which is part of the university’s Office of Child Development, was founded in 2016 to support the positive racial identity development of Black children, from birth to age 8, in the Pittsburgh region and beyond.

The program has supported young Black children through the arts, professional development, community engagement, research and evaluation, and parent and caregiver workshops.

The program is asking parents, caregivers, educators, community partners, artists, or anyone else who has engaged with the program to provide their perspective by taking a survey. Those who take part in the survey will be able to share what P.R.I.D.E. has meant to them or their children, how it has shaped the community, and what should come next.

The survey takes about 10 to 15 minutes to complete. All responses will be confidential and will be used to inform the program’s future direction. 

One respondent will be chosen at random to receive a $50 gift card. To be entered in this raffle, be sure to enter your email at the end of the survey.
