According to The Pennsylvania Key, The Pennsylvania Director Credential is designed as a standard to measure and validate the abilities and competencies of directors and administrators to manage high-quality early childhood and school-age programs.

Four different pathways are available to obtain the Director Credential including:

• Initial;

• Renewal

• Alternative Pathway; and

• Portfolio.

Apply

Interested early care and education professionals must apply online on the Director Credential page of the PA Key website. Applications for the Director Credential are $25. Processing can take between 60 - 90 days. For questions about the Director Credential, emails may be sent to dircred@pakeys.org.
